All proceeds from “Brews for Tunes” benefit the Atlanta Music Project (AMP), a non-profit, after-school program that provides underserved children with the opportunity to learn about and perform music through orchestra or choir. AMP provides each orchestra student with an instrument, and all students participate in weekly lessons 3-5 times a week with world-class teachers and have numerous performance opportunities. AMP students do not need prior musical experience. The only requirement is a commitment from the child to attend all rehearsals and performances. As participation is free of charge, AMP relies heavily on private donations to fund their various programs.

The philosophy of AMP is that musical training creates more confident children, better students, stronger neighborhoods, and promotes social change. Studies have shown that children enrolled in such training have higher test scores, elevated reading comprehension, and better graduation rates among their peers. Your ticket purchase or sponsorship of “Brews for Tunes” will help guarantee that the Atlanta Music Project can continue to provide a positive, safe and constructive after-school environment for Atlanta’s underserved children.
