Atlanta Music Project filmed in a short commercial to air on ESPN during the Chick-Fil-A Kick-Off game

In a most fitting way to “Kick-off” its Fifth Season, the Atlanta Music Project will be featured on national television! Tune in to ESPN this Thursday, August 28 at 8:00pm for the 2014 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game between Boise State and Ole’ Miss. During the broadcast you’ll catch a short, but powerful, vignette about the Atlanta Music Project.

AMP young artists take a break while filming

Filmed in several locations throughout Atlanta, this video illustrated AMP’s mission in a new way. Not only will viewers see the young artists in rehearsal and performance, but they will also hear different perspectives on how the Atlanta Music Project is impacting local community.

The segment highlighted the Gilbert House String Orchestra, with special focus on Concertmaster, Kamali. A student with AMP since 2010, Kamali attends classes every day with his 3 siblings. The filmmakers visited him at home and school to accurately portrat the life on an AMP student outside of class.
