THE ATLANTA MUSIC PROJECT ANNOUNCES TWO OPENINGS FOR 2013-2014 AMP INTERNSHIP

Stipend Provided, Starting August 2013

Statement of Job:

In alignment with the Atlanta Music Project (AMP) mission, the 2013-2014 AMP Intern will assist senior AMP staff with program implementation, event management, and administrative tasks. By working directly with our senior staff, the AMP Intern will gain hands-on experience and develop key relationships in the field of non-profit management, arts administration, fundraising, and community development.

Opportunities and Tasks will include:

  • Post-gift donor management
  • Participation in key fundraising meetings and strategy sessions
  • Concert and event logistics
  • Social media implementation
  • Regular feedback from senior AMP staff
  • Grant research, proof reading
  • Liaising with AMP community partners & families
  • Recruitment and registration
  • Administrative tasks as needed

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Passion for music as a tool for positive social change
  • College degree or be a current undergraduate or graduate student
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Impeccable inter-personal and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership skills
  • Professional conduct, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Reliable phone and car a must

Note: The 2013-2014 AMP Internship will pay a stipend of $2,000. The successful candidate (s) will be available 5 hours per week from August 2013 through June 2014. This position requires a car and background check.
