Angie Williams is currently Senior Vice-President, Teammate Enablement Leader – Contact Center at SunTrust Bank. Formally she was the Branch Banking Region Executive for the state of Georgia at SunTrust Bank, responsible for delivering SunTrust’s retail strategy for 156+ branches.
Angie has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to her current role, she held roles in the Retail Line of Business as the Teammate Effectiveness Leader, spearheading initiatives such as role clarity, Performance Leadership Model and key branch banking plays in the Client Engagement Model. She was also the Sales and Implementation Manager for the Greater Washington Maryland Division, when she first joined SunTrust in 2013. Before joining SunTrust, Angie was most recently the Consumer Market Executive for the Central Virginia region for Bank of America, overseeing a geography of 160+ retail branches. She has extensive experience in leadership and management in sales, sales strategy, marketing and business development. She has worked at Bank of America, New York Life and high tech consulting firms in the Silicon Valley, California.
Angie’s greatest strengths are her creativity, drive and servant leadership approach to the business. She thrives on developing others, leveraging internal and community programs to develop leaders within the company and for community service. Angie previously served on the Board of Directors for YWCA of Greater Richmond and for the School of Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC). She served on Governor Terry McAuliffe’s Asian Advisory Council in 2014 and was an Advisory Council member for the United Way Women’s Leadership Initiative. Angie is a member of the 2013 class of Leadership Metro Richmond and a graduate of the class of 2011 of the Columbia University Women Leadership Program. At SunTrust, she is involved in the Women Leadership and Asian American Teammate Network. She was a Purpose Ambassador for 2016 and a PEA Platinum Excellence Winner in 2013 and 2014. Currently in Greater Atlanta, she is a member of the National Charity League, a sustainer member of Junior League and is an avid volunteer with Junior Achievement and Operation Hope.
She currently lives in Johns Creek with her husband Jack, her children Olivia (15), twins Charlotte and Simon (11) and dog, Cali. In her free time when she is not taxiing her children to lacrosse tournaments, she’s the captain of her tennis team and enjoys experiencing the food and culture scene in Atlanta.
