Arjan Timmermans is author of the famed ArjanWrites.com blog, one of the most popular and critically acclaimed music blogs on the web. Since 2003, Arjan has been tipping readers about emerging acts and cutting-edge new music. The blog received a Forbes magazine “Best of Blog” award and Billboard magazine “Best Music Blog” award nomination in 2007. The blog has also been featured on E! News and was syndicated on NBC Universal’s BravoTV.com.
In February 2009, The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences invited Arjan to be their first-ever, fully credentialed blogger to cover the annual GRAMMY Awards for GRAMMY.com in Los Angeles. Arjan live-blogged and twittered throughout GRAMMY Week.

In 2002, he was also the first-ever credentialed blogger to cover the MTV Video Music Awards, which he has covered four times since. In 2008 and 2009, MTV recognized Arjan’s impact to the music community by naming an MTV Logo Award after ArjanWrites.com. In May 2009, Arjan will present the MTV Logo ArjanWrites Award to an emerging international artist during a live telecast in New York.
