Joyce A. Moore is a life long resident of the metropolitan Atlanta area and grew up in Lawrenceville, GA. She graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Education.
Ms. Moore was employed with The Coca-Cola Company while still at university and retired after 31 years. The majority of those years were spent in the Human Resources function in the areas of talent acquisition, compensation & benefits and HR generalist. She also had concentrated experience in the area of process design and system implementation. Some of her roles included: Manager, Employee Programs, Senior Compensation Analyst, Manager, Client Services, Compensation and Benefits Mgr-Northwest European Division (London, England), Data Architect-Human Resources Systems (SAP) and Human Resources Manager.
Since retiring, Ms. Moore has provided consulting services to Pharmacia, a multi-national pharmaceutical company, located in Bridgewater, NJ, Turner Broadcasting Company and to The Coca-Cola Company. Her most recent consulting assignments with The Coca-Cola Company were located in Toronto, Canada, Tokyo, Japan, and Atlanta, GA where she provided consulting in the areas of human resources generalist, talent acquisition and development of data protocols and procedures.
Ms. Moore is active in the community. For several years, she served on the board of directors of Traveler’s Aid of Metropolitan Atlanta (Hope Atlanta), where she also served two terms as chairman of the board. Hope Atlanta is a non-profit organization which provides emergency services to stranded, disabled and mentally-ill travelers, low-income newcomers, runaways and homeless and at-risk residents in crisis. She also served as a tutor/mentor at Bethune Elementary School, volunteered with Volunteer Atlanta and Rebuild Atlanta.
Currently, she volunteers with SCORE, counselors to America’s small business, providing guidance and information to owners of existing and emerging small businesses in metro Atlanta; and acts as Vice Chairman for the Robbie Susan Moore Foundation for Education, Inc. which provides scholarships to economically disadvantaged high school graduates.
During her leisure time, Ms. Moore enjoys reading, international travel and spending time with family and friends.
